Step Out Workshops
Step Out Workshop is a forum for the spiritual, intellectual and creative development of ladies and children. It also provides a platform for the education and vocational training of the underprivileged. The activities of the workshop are divided in to the following categories.
Jyotirmai Vidyamandir
Jyotirmai Vidyamandir, a school for less privileged children, has classes from Montessori to Class 6. After this, they are sponsored to senior school. Our school follows the CBSE curriculum. Nutritious lunch is given to the children every day.

Gyan Jyoti
Gyan Jyoti is the spiritual wing of Jyotirmai Club. Religious Trips, Puja and Spiritual Talk sessions are organised regularly for the upliftment of the members.

Bonsai Chapter
“When you decide to explore the art of Bonsai, you could very well be nurturing a companion that will be passed down from generations, which could one day become an heirloom.”
Bonsai is the Japanese and East Asian art of growing and training miniature trees. Bonsai cultivates, patience and sparks your creativity. This chapter is trying to cultivate an understanding with trees by conducting workshops, demonstrations and exhibitions through which one can connect with the plants. Activities include inviting International Masters to keep us updated, visiting a few nurseries in a year, organising meetings once a month with sale counters for bonsai materials and conducting and taking part in seminars.

Sargam
Sargam, the singing class of Jyotirmai Club has been running successfully for the last 16 years. It began with just 3 members but now has a strength of about 20 members who learn Gazal, Geet, Thumri, Chati, Kajri, Bhajans, Folk songs and Light Classical music from Smt. Kumkum Bhattacharya.

Sahitya Sansparsh
The reading group of Sahitya Sansparsh meets every Saturday from 11 AM to 12 noon, at the Jyotirmai Club premises. All are welcome to attend these interesting and informative sessions in which a particular book is chosen, read page by page and each aspect discussed. The book may vary in subject from spirituality/ philosophy to travel, poetry to novels. The readings are always followed by animated discussions, which all the participants look forward to. From time-to-time Sahitya Sansparsh organizes events based on a literary topic. The event may include drama, dance play reading etc. Also, many eminent speakers are invited to give talks on various topics. The events and talks are appreciated by all.


Kumudini Devi Khaitan Prerna Kosh
Prerna Kosh was started in 2013 by one of the founder members of Jyotirmai Club in memory of Smt. Kumudini Devi Khaitan. It offers a range of vocational and extra-curricular classes. At the moment, classes in Karate, Art & Craft, Computers, Odissi Dance, Singing are going on successfully. Beautician courses are going to start very soon. All the classes are free.





Prayas
The Prayas Committee is responsible for taking around 1400 underprivileged children for a day picnic every year. The children are offered Breakfast, Lunch, Soft Beverages and a return gift as a token of remembrance.



Anant Darshan
Anant Darshan has been organising an Annual Trip for its members for the last 16 years.




Jyotirmai Seva Puraskar
Jyotirmai Club encourages & recognises people or organisations who have devoted their lives and time for the welfare of the less fortunate. Keeping this in mind, an award scheme was started in the year, 2005.
The award carries an honorarium cheque of Rs. 51000/-, a memento and a Citation. It is sponsored by Sita Saraogi Seva Sansthan.
Jeevan Jyoti
Jeevan Jyoti is another wing of Jyotirmai Club, which takes care of the medical issues of the lower class. Jyotirmai Club has been consistently working to secure accessible and quality health care amongst marginalized communities. To address this complex challenge. Jeevan Jyoti works to identify root causes and also their appropriate solutions. Apart from providing essential medical services, health issues are also addressed through a preventive approach by working to provide hygiene and sanitation facilities.
Jyotirmai Homeopathic Dispensaries
Jeevan Jyoti has been successfully running free homeopathic dispensaries in rural Bengal.

Jeevan Jyoti Clinic
The mission of this unit is to provide affordable quality health care to those most in need. Our dispensaries and medical clinic operate under the banner of Jeevan Jyoti. In our premises where qualified senior doctors specializing in their respective work fields are available on scheduled days We have a general physician, a paediatrician, an Ophthalmologist, dentist, orthopaedic specialist, ENT specialist, dermatologist, gynaecologist and a diabetologist available in the clinic. We provide financial aid for heart and gynaecological surgeries.

Physiotherapy & Rehab Center

Physiotherapy & Rehab Center will be conducting Fun and Energizing exercise sessions for 50+ are designed to:

Every year we organize free eye camps in 3 or 4 villages alongside biannual camps in our Seva Mandir. Patients are provided with prescription and spectacles free of cost. We undertake responsibility of cataract operations and critical eye surgeries.
Paediatric health check-ups are also performed on children's day where children from different low-income group schools are invited.
We also hold free multi- speciality camps in our premises where screening and treatments are available. Medicines are distributed free at these camps.
Rural Relief Development
Jyotirmai Club started working in Purba Gopal Nagar Village 8 years back. The first venture was to install and Water Filtration Plant where presently, 800 families are getting filtered water courtesy of this project.
Vocational Training Centre in Machine Knitting began in the year, 2015 where 20 students have been trained. Jyotirmai Club has helped them in acquiring machines for knitting enabling them to work independently.
A Medical Clinic was established in the year 2018-19. A general Physician has been appointed to come once a week to cater to the patients of the village. Around 1500 patients have received satisfactory treatment from April 2021 to March 2022.
An Eye Camp was held on 19th December which had around 200 attendees who took benefit from this camp.
